Reviews for this release

It was good. But seems the project is abandoned by the author. With all corresponding consequences..

It's a pity that a project is over (

Sadly, fails to map some common situations even using custom mappers. For example, mapping an integer (id) to a value that is looked up in a list is impossible. There is no way to define a particular mapping method for a given property. At the end, I had to create mapping functions for almost everything but simplest and plain classes. The documentation is frankly dissapointing.

I have been using EmitMapper in a production environment for 3 months successfully. It does the job required, fast and with little fuss.

Incredibly useful library! I couldn't afford to use AutoMapper because of it's performance penalty. But this thing really flies, and seems to have all the features I need (I really appreciate support for Mono). I am currently using it to map every single ViewModel in my MVC4 application. Brilliant work!

Does a shallow copy by default - I wish it told me that upfront :(

This is indeed, very fast. When mapping 'domain model -> view model' Emit Mapper was about 4x faster than Auto Mapper. When mapping 'view model -> hierarchical domain model' (patch submitted) it is only about 2% slower than hand written code. This verifies the documentation but I wanted to see the results against a real domain model. I will be deleting lots of now redundant mapping code. Excellent

It's really fast. Do you plan to update it? Or just make an external release except the beta?

What's about lazy loading? If the source object has this feature (object created by ORM) is it lost or still working? Why is the 'Track changes' page so empty? My rating will probably get up after some clearification!!!
